Fletchings
« on: July 30, 2013, 07:00:10 PM »
So I broke out the broad head and been practicing. My groups are so good I have basically went through 5 arrows fletchings. I dont have the gear to refletch them myself. So i was thinking either the quickfletch or the quickspins. Anybody use them before or can offer insight.

Thanks
Shayne

Me personaly, If your going to put the money into those things. Id just buy the stuff needed to fletch your own stuff. Its actually quite fun, and not very expensive.
This would be the only expensive thing of your arsenal. The Bitzenburger-Dial-O-Fletch, Glues cheap, Fletchings are cheap.

Smossy,
Thanks ill look into that. I just need a quick fix for right now, then i can practice after deer season.

I know , I know. Its when Im shooting at 50 yards and get a few together that Im running into this.

For me, I do 20 then move back up to 50. No range finder just guessing all the way. Since I put on my broad heads my point of impact shifted 4 inches down and 2 inches right.  So im good again but its really costing me.

Thanks again
Shayne

you just need more exercise  :chuckle:

try groups of 1 and you won't eff up your arrows.  fletching is cheap and easy.  if you go blade on blade...ouch.

walk back and forth, it is worth it.  or use the other targets, that works too.
How long til elk season?!??

start at sixty when your freash and don't watch the flight , if every thing is tuned impact should be spot on the same point of aim.
