Blind vs tree stand

So after a number of years burning boot leather and eating tag soup, my hunting partner and I may have stumbled across a spot to set up a ground blind and/or tree stand. I know it isn't your typical elk hunting style but if it get's an animal down I'm in. Was wondering what ya'll think about either a blind or stand? The area is not huge but may be able to handle both. I have a blind already but I started to think about a stand and benefits/drawbacks.
Anyways, just looking for ideas or past experiences you've had/heard.

I personally prefer a blind to tree stands for elk and heres why...

A. I have been successful, in part due to....
B. It helps to be a little mobile (I shoot archery)...sometimes I have to move a little up or down hill to get a shot off....
C. If I have to take a whiz, I can just scurry off somewhere and do it.
D. It doesnt have to be anything special blind wise, just some local pine branches and some cover has worked fine for me.

The tree stand I have is a climber (meaning no ladder, but you climb with the seat as you go up). Seems to be more a hassle (and noisy) than much else> I wouldnt mind trying it for predator calling some thick areas, getting above the brush, but have yet to lug it out into the woods for that. Awesome pics and spot!    I like my climber summit stand.  360 view and shooting.  Animals rarely seem to look up w/o a reason and I think it helps with scent some.  More time to prepare cause you can see animals before they are in your range where a blind is much more limited this way.  Easier, cheaper, safer comfort and mobility go to blinds.  Advantage stand.

Thanks for the input. I have hunted out of the blind before so I find myself leaning towards that side. But, I do like the idea of being above the animals and the extra view.
Mudman, what kind of stand do you have? Is it a climber or ladder style? I've been looking at some with the climbing "sticks" you can strap to the tree. As saylean had mentioned, his climber is noisy.

I have a big ol ladder stand which is great but I don't use it as Wife bought me a summit Bushmaster climber, no bar in front of me.  Its a backpack type.  I strap it to my Badlands pack and off I go.  21ilbs I think.  I love them and have 0 issues like others claim.  I have a cable bike lock so I can leave it on tree overnight if I choose to come back.  Comfy too, fallen asleep many a time!

hands down a stand if its an option! being up in the air versus the ground is going to be better always. Better visibility and the wind can blow the wrong way at times and still be okay
