You can kill jacks.  Only 4 of the 6 can be adults.

And you don't really need to worry about jacks; the Carbon River silvers are genetically programmed to measure exactly 20.5 inches :chuckle:, so the limit is basically 4 fish.

Just got off the phone & the recording says single barbless for the area in question. Why wasnt it in the news release  :bash: :bash:
Always use barbless none the less, it just wasnt adding up, thats why I was confused. (which doesnt take much sometimes)

It was in the news release  :dunno: I just quoted where it stated lol.
No that covers , 11th st to Freeman Rd ( which opens Aug 16th)  not Freemon rd. to the White River which opened today.

From the mouth of the White River to the Carbon River and both the White and Carbon rivers are not affected by this rule change. Anglers should consult the Fishing in Washington, Sports Fishing Rules pamphlet for additional information.

From White River to Carbon River: ALL SPECIES - Aug. 1-Nov. 30: night closure, anti-snagging rule, and barbless hooks required.

Yeah, all barbless!

Yes... I quoted exactly today's opening, no wonder everyone gets so confused about rules:

Barbs are never okay, it's saying that area in general isn't even open until August 16th, and the area of the Pew river that IS open says: "From city of Puyallup outfall structure near junction of Freeman Road and North Levee Road to mouth of the White River: Night closure and anti-snagging rule are in effect and single point barbless hooks are required from August 1 until further notice."

Weird,
when I went over the Puyallup River bridge ( on hwy 512) this morning on my way to work at 4:30, I saw no one fishing up or down river from the bridge?  :dunno:

Usually that area is crowded

He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.

4:30am might have had something to do with it.
