Holy Smokes what a shock!!
« on: March 16, 2026, 12:02:22 PM »
I was just going over the new license cost for this year. $21,75 for a Turkey tag!!! I already lost my leg in November, and now they want my other one to hunt turkeys. What a joke. I think I will be hopping down the butterball section at the local store.

Yup on the gas,my full size takes a 100 to fill .

Turkey talk .....
Been seeing Tom's strutting for 2weeks now, maybe longer..
Thinking they are breeding early, youth season probably be awesome.
Not sure on the general season.

Pic was taken a week ago in my driveway.
Anyone in the NE can confirm, strutting for 2-3 weeks now.

This is about the time for them to start the mating game.  Turkey season already starting in some SE states.  Lots of states out there are starting later now due to the worry of the loss of the population of turkeys and hunting them right in the beginning of mating.  We will be out in Newport doing our annual turkey camp for first time turkey hunters.  Wife was wondering if we should pull the SxS trailer and SxS.  I was like if I am the camp chef and running around your damn right I want that SXS.  Not looking forward to gas price.  This morning it looks like it shot up .50 in some places on the way to work.

That turkey camp is a great thing you do, thank you for your hard work.
Dang shame that gas prices are so jack up right now.

It hasn’t included a “free” turkey tag in years. That was just a stunt the WDFW pulled to try to get people interested in hunting turkeys and buying more tags.

yeh gases prices are a joke! :bash: me and my wife are retired but im still going east for my spring turkey hunt traded my truck in 2 months ago for a new 26 tacoma trd off road it gets good gas mileage. but it still going to hurt the pocket book.  but im not going to let it ruin me and my sons turkey hunt we been looking forward to it for months. getting 22 miles a gallon on the freeway and 20 in town. was on the ropes if it would tow my 18 ft hewescraft. but it has tow mode and it does great. headed east going to hunt private and some public. good luck every one and be safe. picked up a custom new slate and box call for my son.
