Who owns the land?

Where can I purchase maps that contain land ownership information?

Specifically Chelan County?

Some county assessors have online info.  Chelan is one, but they are changing to a new system now.  The historical plats still work, though.  Just figure out the township and range you are wanting to look up.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

If you buy that map chip how often do they update the info and can you get update for free from their website to your chip or something like that?  Or do you to buy a new one ever year or couple years?

Buy the download. I am not very tech friendly but I am sure glad I went with the download. I believe you send the card back for an update. Updates are annual. They state on the website what dates. My reasoning for download is that you can look at the maps on your full computer screen. I like to take google earth and open base camp with my gps maps and see EXACTLY what I am looking at.
