Don't know about the derby but fishing was brutal on the central Sound yesterday. Tons of boats out and very few fish caught. We saw 1 fish netted at Richmond Beach and nothing at Appletree Cove where we started. Bait was thick all over but the fish were no shows. Fish checkers at Shilshole said the same thing, fishing was "very slow." I didn't even ask them what the count was.
