When y'all are practicing, how long do you guys hold full draw for before ya shoot? Usually I draw, aim and release but I'm guessing I should start practicing holding draw longer. 15 sec, 30 sec, a minute?

Spring and early summer I'm primarily shooting for form and I'm floating the pin for about 5 seconds. About this time every year I really start practicing from odd angles, from one or both knees, twisted, and I also practice shooting after being at FD for at least 60 seconds. It makes it a lot harder.

Depends on if I am shooting my longbow or compound. The compound I hold until I am comfortable with the shot. I am set at 60# so I can hold for some time before it becomes an issue. For longbow things are different. I tend to hold at least a second. Just depends on what you are shooting. I do practice form different positions and angles. Put the latter up today for roof shots.

Don't forget to practice for a quick shot as well. Some times the animals don't give you much time!

I dont tend to practice holding longer unless Its needed for the shot. I do shoot for long periods I might even run around and then pick up my bow and shoot
