Great 3pt with eyeguards! Dandy buck for sure.
So.... "3+1"
Yeah that's easier to say than "4"
 :bash:
:yeah:  I guess we will call my buck a 4 + 1 x 2 + (7) sounds about right I guess with the above logic  :bash:

Haha!
Good stuff!

If it was a mule deer I would call it a 3 point with eye guards though.

Little Pend Oreille National wildlife Refuge. Maybe they aren't pointy enough to be considered points :chuckle:

I'd say for a whitetail with big tall browtines like that, it can be called a 4x4 without too much fuss.

The problem I have is when people are like, check out this 7x7 bull!  Turns out it's a 5x5 and it's got just a couple little sticker points   :P
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

If its a score able its a POINT!! Makes no damn sense why someone would say 3pt plus brows .. Am I missing something ? Does the brow time not get scored ?  :bash:

My guess is that there are enough muleys that don't have brow tines that it raised the question when people mentioned points.  With whiteys and blackies, I think it is just assumed they have brow tines and they are being counted.  So if someone said 4 pt, then for whitey/blacky everyone kind of is on the page of brow tines plus 3 others on a branch.  Usually if there is something unusual it is mentioned (like a drop).  For muleys if you tell someone 4 pt they try to picture it and need to know if they're leaving out brow tines.

Looks like a good 8 pt to me.

???? Where are you hunting blacktails? I would say they are more like mulies. A lot of blackies don't have brow tines. If not a majority....

I don't think it's easier to say. Just gives a clearer mental image if there isn't a picture. But there is many ways to skin a cat. Very nice buck. I hope you get him.
