My Anchor System

Maybe you pulled my anchor by mistake, maybe you thought that I left it there hoping to hold my spot for the next day, maybe ?
If you pulled my anchor system from the Columbia near the mouth of the Cowlitz while I was out fighting a fish... please leave me a message telling me where and how I can get my anchor system back.
I'd hate to think that someone is going to ruin the rest of my season intentionally.
Anchor was pulled around 1700 hours.
I'd appreciate its return.

Theres a chance it was run over the by someone try to horn in on your spot. I've seen that happen a few times. Usually the responible party flees the area trying to avoid fixing it. Sorry to hear, that sucks, as the season is still young.

The tide was gone and we were just getting ready to pull up when we got hooked into an oversized sturgeon. 2 1/2 hours later the fight was over and we were going back to our anchor. There was hardley anyone left on the river... wouldn't have been any reason to clip it, or run over it. We talked to guy that was trolling and he said that he saw it pulled.
I just want my stuff back...tired of buying equipment for other people. So far this year its been two crab pots, one trailer stinger (they cut my lock off) and now an anchor system.

Are you on Ifish? If so you should put a post there or at least check there. Its a popular sight for SW Wa and Ore. I bet some members were out there while you were. Its worth a shot.

No chance anyone admits to it, they knew exactly what they were doing and took it for themselves.
Best advice I can give is chalk it up to lesson learned and move on.

Im just not sure what lesson is to be gained by this. I did what your supposed to do..... drop off your system and fight fish. I think the lesson will come if I find out who took my anchor system.
I was less than a mile from where we dropped off. I guess I should have watched for theives
??
I hate to look at other sportsman with that thought in mind but theft this year has cost us nearly $1000.

A theft deterrent is to make your own stuff and weld your name onto it. Put warning on the buoys.

Without giving up info on how I will recognize my stuff, I'll just say that I built the anchor.
