Orders will make ELK SEASON!!!!
« on: August 11, 2013, 08:01:49 PM »
Ok taking a long shot here. I have been reading this site for a while and have gained a lot of knowledge from all of you so first and foremost thank you for that.

I am currently deployed and have found out I will be home 1SEP just in time for Archery season. My wife is being patient enough to join a friend and me at their Ranch near Lebam to let me hunt after only being home for a few days. I have my bow here with me, all tuned in, and plenty of time to shoot. haha.

That being said scouting and making use of trail cameras are going to be tough. I have a plan on getting onto a certain ridgeline as soon as I get home and hunt hard then getting back to the trail cameras to see if I am getting onto any.

I am asking if anyone has knowledge of the areas sorrounding Lebam that I can PM to discuss my game plan that I have developed from Google earth and maps.

Any help is appreciated, If I can pull off this last minute hunt it will be a miracle but either way it will be a great time in the woods with my wife and friends.

Thank You
Tim

First I would make sure it's not in an area where you need to purchase the weyco access permit.

I could probably help some as I hunt it hard in the late season.  Not much in the early season.  But, if I were you I would try to reach JPhelps.  He's probably forgotten more about that area than I will ever know.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
