Browning Micro Midas Youth Guns!!
« on: August 16, 2013, 11:43:22 AM »
Has anyone purchased any of the Browning Micro Midas guns for their kids or wife?  They have the 13" LOP.  I was looking at getting the Silver Micro Midas for my son and was looking for any potential reviews.
I see they offer this line in the following as well:
BT-99
BPS Micro Trap
BPS Micro
Silver Micro Midas
Citori Micro Midas
X-Bolt Micro Midas in various calibers.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Gota tag this...
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Crazy!
I just posted on ShotgunWorld a WTB for a Silver Hunter Micro stock.
I have the full-size gun and love it...20ga.
The part is in stock(baddum-pow!)at Browning for $135 and I'm tempted to order it.
If you'd like to shoot my Silver Hunter, let me know.
It is a fantastic shotgun.

Last year I purchased my son the Remington LT-20 youth model.  Great gun, but it has the English stock and he was shooting it okay.  Trying to find good steel loads in only for a 2-3/4" was a challenge.  I did finally find Kent #4 in 2-3/4 at about $15 per box.  I then went out and purchased the Escort youth magnum in .20 gauge.  Great gun, but only cycles 3" shells and we have been shooting trap every week to get him ready for the hunting season.  To cut costs for trap and steel.  I am looking at going 12 gauge in the Micro Midas youth.  It is 1 lb heavier than his current gun.  Felt recoil will be about the same, but with more shot for more room for error.  The Browning should prove to be a better gun with a 26" barrel vs. his 20" current barrel along with trying to find chokes as the Escort used Huglu chokes.  If I use 1" extended choke it will give him a longer sight pattern.

Also by going with a 12 gauge for him I can set up the reloader for trap and crank the shells out that we can both shoot.
Cut em!

Bought my 12 year old daughter the X-Bolt Micro Midas in 7-08 a couple years ago. Fit and finish is perfect and it shoots great too.
Here is the load she is shooting out of hers. 120g TTSX @ 100 yards
100% burn in the 20" barrel
