Bear meat and Trichinosis

So we're seeing more bear than Elk on our cams.... so may have to take em out during Archery.
Question.... does the state test the meat (send in tongue) for trichinosis?
and I assume the meat processors will take bear?   I've used Mckenna (Stewarts Meats)  but looking for one closer to Willapa Bay.

If you are really concerned, you could stop eating it raw and instead could cook the meat to eliminate the threat. :dunno:

I was gonna say cook to internal temp of 160  :tup: bingo bango dead parasite....it used to be a huge issue in pigs back when pigs could still be fed in an omnivorous way ie meat however most domestic pork produced today is fed an herbivore diest or vegetarian and the trichinellosis issue has all but been eradicated
