Conway Kennels
« on: August 19, 2013, 08:42:55 AM »
On Saturday I ran our new Drathhaar pup up to Conway Kennels for an evaluation. Had the pleasure of meeting Brooke Jr. and our pup is all set to start his education at the beginning of Sept.
Just like our first Drathhaar, our new pup is 100% go! No hesitation on birds, and it took all we had to get him away from the pigeon coop.
This will be our first dog to be sent up to Brooke, anyone here have any experience with Conway Kennels?

Thanks
ST

My buddy has a wirehair that he sent to conway for training, the dog is a better retriever of waterfowl than most labradors. He took the dog to alberta on a guided hunt and the guide submitted that the wirehair was better trained than his dogs he hunts with all season. If your pursuits tend to lead you more in the way of upland hunting I might go in another direction. His dog was a natural on pointing and holding,he went to conway for strictly retriever training.

My uncle owns Conway and Brooke Jr is my cousin. They do a great job with all their dogs and all you have to do is spend a day with Bucko (brooke jr) and you will see the passion and commitment they have. I got a pup from them this Christmas and she spent two months up there with him. She is a machine and I am excited to get her out in the blind. Feel free to PM me with any other questions

I can say nothing but Positive things about Bucko and how he trains. I had my lab puppy with bucko for 2.5 months and he did amazing things with my dog. My pup came front a Great breeder and was trained by the best trainer. You will be amazed at how well your dog comes into heel and the OB will be outstanding. Great Choice with Conway Kennels.

Bucko, Frankie and K were slumming in Fall City with Happy yesterday

Thanks for your comments guys. I am very optimistic about the training and the trainer. The hard part is not going to be able to see my pup every day. Sure is something how these dogs get into your heart so quickly.
