Pearrygin area or Chewuch area?
« on: August 27, 2013, 12:00:30 PM »
Every year for the last 5 years me and my hunting party of 3 go east for deer season, I've noticed that we've seen more deer in the pearrygin area but never a legal buck, our first year hunting in the chewuch area (2 years ago, not far at all from pearrygin) we got a nice 3x4 buck but didn't see as many deer. Anyone who knows the areas well have any recommendations on where to go between the two? Just need some more experienced advice!

Here is the best piece of advice I would give you SPECIAL Permit!!
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

Those are primarily migration areas, effected by time of year, weather, pressure, rut, fire etc. All those factors change yearly in each unit, your guess is as good as the next guys.

Don't forget to factor in where the particular wolf pack that doesn't exist happens to be at the time.....

My recomendation would be either ramsey creek six or seven miles back (pearygin) or cross the road hunt as high as you can go up garddner mtn.

It really does not matter where you camp, all those spots mentioned are within a very short drive of each other. Unless you are hunting right out of camp.
Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.
