A little blacktail update from BL
« on: October 23, 2008, 11:31:05 PM »
Well I keep kicking my self for passing on a pretty descent buck on monday, he was pushing a doe and had 2 or 3 other bucks in tow. It was a crazy morning but fun. I saw somewhere between 14-20 deer, couldnt keep track there were too many running around  :chuckle: I also put on right at 14 miles on my legs. I hunted this morning and saw a spike and a couple does and then this evening went out and called a 6 inch spike in to within 5 yards, and passed on another nicer buck. Big bodie and swelled neck just couldnt get a good read on the bone so I let him walk. I think I seen a total of 7 deer today or so. The bucks are really starting to get agressive and pushing does around pretty good now. Looks like it is going to be a good weeek next week. Hopeing I can find a sitter to watch the kid for a few mornings so I can get out and try to kill my buck. Good luck guys! Get in the woods and do some huntin!!
