Cool find.   I'm sure most people just pick them up and plead ignorance.

That would be at my house right now getting cleaned up! Illegal yes but such a great find it would be worth it to me. I'm not a law breaker but some laws are so stupid they need to be ignored; especially when there isn't any harm being done.

That can be done. I'd do it for a moose like that. That's a big bull.

I would have guessed idaho as well. In fact I am taking my saw with me hunting elk in idaho to hopefully get a 6 point elk rack that someone killed last wekend and never looked for.

I don't get it. Someone finds an endangered species horn/antler and keeps it, but you can't keep an old moose skull with antlers on it.............???

The only thing I found that you can't keep is any Big Horn heads/horns found in the field.

:dunno: I know if I came across any skulls with antlers I am sure I would pick them up.

It is a good law IMHO.  There are a lot of jackwagons out there that would drop an animal in the off season....then come back a year later and take the skull/antlers as a deadhead.

:yeah:x100!  Go back and get it, it was your dads (or anyones)and you don't know where it came from! 90% of fines come from people giving themselves up. I also don't go out to break laws but that one does suck!

Three years ago I found a Big horn Ram dead right next to the road in the snow, have no idea what happened to it, my guess is it's in a game wardens garage.

Either way I would be all over that.  I know I am doing nothing but picking it up and would have no problem going to sleep at night with myself.
