English lab breeders?

Any one know of and good English land breeders in wa Oregon or Idaho? A friend of mine has a couple out of bay view kennels up north and I like them a lot he hunts both of them. I will be doing mainly duck hunting with a little up land game if that helps. Thanks for the help guys

My friend has a 10 month old black field trial dog. Trained by Jim gonia. He's going to be big. Hes been forced fetched and is working on force to pile. $1,000 is a bargain. More than that in his training. Jim doesn't feel he will be a competitive field trial dog but will make an excellent hunt test and or hunting dog. Send me a note if you are interested.

I certainly don't need another dog, but a dog of that quality at that price with that training is an absolute steal!  Very tempting.

Just curious, do know what an "English Style" lab is considered? When you search for it, you'll typically pull up webpages which say things like, "proven hunters and excellent bird drive", "Great show potential and mellow family pets"

There are not any real reputable breeders who will advertise their kennel as a "English Style" kennel. It's marketing garbage which was started by the Wildrose Kennels which is one HUGE PUPPY MILL. English Style, Block Head etc, typically means it's a show lab which will have low bird drive, moderate trainability and a very un-athletic body type. Short legs, barrel shaped body which will be good for retrieving a limit of ducks no more than 30 yards away before they are tired out.

If you are looking for one to just sit around on the porch and be a great pet, they are perfect. Don't ever take one pheasant hunting and plan on walking hills more than 30 minutes. You'll kill the dog.

I've sent you messages telling you that three of my breeding females have Bayview lines. Probably just as good or better than what Kim has now.

I know Kim with Bayview. I have used her studs in the past. She called me a while back wanting to borrow one of my girls so that she could keep a pup from her lines. I guess she screwed up and doesn't have the lines she'd like that my girls have. She didn't offer me any compensation, so I obviously turned her down.She told me that her county has cracked down on breeders and she can only have so many litters per year. I will add that she's more about a "show" lab than a lab that can hunt, but if you've seen first hand pups that will hunt, give her a call or email her.  I have her contact info if you need it.

Well looks like I'm gonna go a different way from the way I was planning. I've decided to go with wind river to get my hunting buddy. I'm planning on trying to go over sometime soon and put a deposit down down on a litter for next yr. Man I'm excited and can't wait! Its been a long four yrs waiting to get my hunting buddy home!
