butcher / Cold Storage Raymond WA area?
« on: August 26, 2013, 10:12:59 AM »
Anyone know of a good place that I can hopefully hang quarters etc.?
Hunting around Raymond and want to continue hunting if we fill a tag.  So are looking for cold storage and if must will pay to have it butchered.

Last time I used Stewarts Meats but I was hunting a lot closer.  So far I'm looking at a place in Tumwater/Olympia  and would like closer.

Thanks

We have always used the meat locker in Naselle, the owner last year said after they lost there liqour licenece a couple years ago she didn't think it would remain open for the 2013 season. I have been unable to get a hold of that locker so I assume its closed. As far as I know there is nothing in Astoria, Long Beach, Raymond/South Bend, or anywhere closer than Olympia. We will bringing large comercial fishing totes to keep the meat cold as a last resort. Maybe I should just rent a refrigerated semi container and charge 20 a day ha. If anybody knows somthing I'm missing please let me know.

I just got off the phone with Gloria who owns the lockers in Naselle. It is being sold and the new owners are going to take over at the end of Sept. It will not be open for cold storage. She does not know if the new owners are planning on opening it up for game storage. It will keep you posted if I hear anything new.
