Gypsy Peak
« on: August 27, 2013, 02:52:33 PM »
So my buddy thinks that there might be Elk up by Gpysy Peak.  Has anyone ever hunted up there for Elk?  If so what was the hunting like?  It looks a lot like bear country to me.

I love threads like this one.  If I am to post there are hundreds of elk up there and its the best hunting ever, and the other 15,000 members are actually watching. :chuckle:   Smossy will say.  This is worthless without pics, so I better post some up.  :)    I wonder  if folks ever get upset when one of their honeyholes gets posted on here. :)   Not jumping down your throat, I just see a lot of this on here.

Just like most of the area up there, you might find some you might not. They are in small herds all over but never where I am when its hunting season. Just get out and do some scouting to see what you can find.

there are mt sides in that country that are solid forest that u will need climbing gear to traverese! this is not an exageration. You could hunt the whole season and never hear or see an elk. Bears! lots! and grizz
