Nikon Fieldscope 82 Ed
« on: August 27, 2013, 04:22:17 PM »
Just received my Nikon Fieldscope 82ED with a 25-75x eye piece.  Just waiting on the tripod, went with a Slik 613034 Pro 340 EZ Tripod With 2-way Pan/Tilt Head - Max Height 57 Inches Max Load 8 Lbs.  Can not wait to get out in the field and glass.  Scouted an area a few weeks ago and when I was glassing from the ridge top I began to question hunting with only a pair of Pentax 10-42s.  The glasses have served me well over the last 10 years but they were never accompanied by a spotting scope.  I think now I may have a good combination for picking out critters while they feed, sleep, and go about their daily routine undisturbed by my presence.  Anyways thanks to those who have posted in the past with respect to optics, made my decision based on what others had said about this particular glass.

Enjoy, do not be surprised if you can't leave home without it.
