i have been drawen  for second year now  and kinda wondering how the contacting  goes

I was drawn for 2 of those back when I did the Master Hunter thing. They have someone called the "hunt master" who has a list of all the applicants and calls them in some kind of order, based on elk activity in the hunt area.
I got called once for an area with no elk in it. Did not get called at all the other time and it was just as well.

Maybe it works for some people, some of the time. But since you toatally can't plan for it at all I decided those hunts really aren't for me :twocents:
Charlie Kirk didn't speak hate, they hated what he said. Don't get it twisted.
