elk shot and left to rot near Trout Lake, Washington

Multiple elk have been found by bow hunters shot with firearms in different locations. These elk were shot previous to this years hunting season began. The elk found had been left to rot with no attempts to take meat from the carcass for consumption. Poaching has been a problem but I am noticing a huge decrease in deer and elk here. I know this country and this is bad. Anyone with information PLEASE respond to this. I am starting and organization to stop this. If I get a good amount of people we will meet and dicuss how to deal with this.

When you have approx one to two hundred people camping out for the entire summer, picking berries, Bear Grass and other forest related jobs It is not suprising that the animals are being poached.

Did you contact the WDFW about it? Also, where out of Trout Lake where these found? Just road numbers or general area would be good.

These were found in the Steamboat Mt. area. These animals were not taken for meat. I have reported to WDFW and the Forest Service. I don't expect much there.

Are you a member of Washington for Wildlife, perhaps bring it up there?

I bet something with some permitted signage in the area with WFW would do something, like a blockwatch almost but for the woods and in this case the Elk.
signage like:
This area monitored by hidden cameras due to Elk poaching
brought to you by Washington for Wildlife
