Teanaway Advice
« on: September 05, 2013, 01:11:36 PM »
Just got back to the truck for lunch...

I started my hunt in 249 but after seeing very limited sign I moved down to teanaway.  I found a nice area down here with some elk sign and lots of deer sign. I'm seeing does left and right and have their travel routes pretty figured out. I have yet to see a buck (have found multiple rubs) and no elk.

So now I'm thinking I should either: A, stay here in hopes of a buck or spike, B, move elsewhere in Teanaway (I've scouted other areas and found sign but no animals), C, make the hike back up to 249, or D, head over to taneum because its spike bulls ( not true spike like in teanaway) and cows. I have until the 9th.

This is my 3rd year hunting and have yet to kill anything so any advice is welcome!

That's my exp with teanway see sign but little animals. Usually see deer at last light. The animals are in there just difficult to get out. Do you know the taneum? I'm sure others who know the area can chime in with more insight.  You camped at teanway or 29 pines campground?

I'm near teanaway now. I went up to taneum the other day on advice from a buddy but I saw a bunch of people all over hunting, riding dirt bikes, and shooting at a range area. Not really my style as I try to stay away from people from people.
