multi season advice
« on: August 27, 2013, 06:52:17 AM »
In my years of hunting I have never killed a buck this year I have a multi season tag I'm good out to fifty yards. I have one daughter hunting archery and one youth daughter hunting riffle. Question is do I shoot the first legal deer I see or do I hold out and hope for a buck and hope my daughrer puts a doe un the freezer given that she only has one weekend to hunt.youe opinions are what I'm looking for what would you do with a family of five and kimited time in the woods.

I sure wouldn't take the first legal deer you see. Not with a $220 tag.  :o

You have until December 31st in some units. I would hunt till the very last day for a decent buck.

Sounds like you will have a great season, I would concentrate on helping the kids fill the freezer and hold out for a nice buck for yourself if you have the time to spend doing it all.

Good Luck!

I've got a little time one weekend for archery with my 16 years old in 245  and I'm taking my 13 year old to curlew area for the youth hunt whitetail doe never been that far we normally hunt 245 and elk in 340 no permits this year I  wanna hold out after 600 in tags and permits butat the same time just fish isn't gonna do it for food so I'm thinking I should hold out for a buck up until the gery last weekend
