I went out this week down south (516) to hunt with a group of guys and pretty much got screwed. I was the only one doing it the legit way, i bought my tags, they didn't. they basically wanted to hunt my tags for me, said we'd split the meat and all, but i quickly realized it was me footing the bill for everyone and everything. I was the one paying the gas bill, food bill, pretty much everything. I was the only one with a truck, I hauled their camping stuff down and hauled them around the woods. I up and left yesterday cause i felt like i was being bent over. I had high hopes for this season, but feeling pretty defeated right now. took a week of vaca to do it too, so that is pretty much shot, but I do have the weekend left and was hoping to salvage a little bit of the season. learned the hard way, but i guess that sometimes happens.
Anyway, I know that hunting grounds are sacred, and I'm not looking for anything specific, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice about hunting 448. its close to me and at this point it my last chance to get in the woods before going back to work. I'm not afraid of getting my boots wet. Is it "any elk" because there ain't nothing out there or because there are too many? Anyone know where I can put in, even if it means walking a bit? Any advice would be very much appreciated, but I also understand if you all tell me to screw off...I'm used to getting screwed at this point...unfortunately.

I'm willing to stay out it in the woods sat night if necessary.
If 448 isn't a good unit I'd be willing to go somewhere else, I just can't go too far.
Again, any words of wisdom would be appreciated. sorry if my sob story wasted a few minutes of your time.
thanks in advance.
