Backwoods back from "first half" of BIG BULL RIMROCK HUNT
« on: October 27, 2008, 09:08:45 AM »
hey guys just checkin in quick....
im back for a couple days to pay bills and trying to leave again wed after work.
the last 10 days was the best time of my life.
we saw a ton of animals and hiked our balls off.....we were all over our GMU and in the last few days we started to dial them in as to where they were hiding.  My brother and i had some very very close encounters and he even had a 5x5 and a spike in his scope on the second day.  the 5by was just out of range and he made the right decision not wasting a tag on a spike.  My dad and i saw some monsters that were about 2 miles away on the hill side. I guessed they were about 350 class definately ass scratchers.  When the circus came to town on saturday the animals were moving around and being pushed in all directions.
i have over 600 pictures, my legs are rubber and i lost a few LBS's.
My dad is still holding down camp and i cant wait to get back there.
got home last night and hate being at work.....
i will give a full report after Nov 2nd cause its not over till the fat lady sings.
we have a lot of pressure with 3 bull tags but honestly even if we dont fill a one this trip has already been more rewarding than i could have asked for.

the memories, the stories and the great times with my dad and brother....
take it easy guys and i will get back to you guys soon.
ill post a few pics tonight when i get home.

we still have time.....
i have decided that my productivity will be ZERO for the next 2 days at work.
I have elk on the mind...

Trust me, just call in. Hunting a 350 bull is much more important than having a job  :chuckle:
