Shotgun Identification Help!!
« on: September 16, 2013, 04:00:16 AM »
Found this shotgun in my dad's closet, went over it with a magnifying glass and can't find who made it, just a matching number in the upper and lower part, it's the size of a "snake charmer" also in .410.[/img][/img]

Looks like a Belgian Single Shot. I will try and do some research on it. Surprised there is not more markings, under the barrel by chance?

Belgian .410 single barrel "Poacher's" shotgun with a skeleton stock. This it what it appears to be. Not worth that much monetarily, but I am sure has some sentimental value.

It is a nicely made little single.  Pictures of the underside of the barrels would help as the proof marks are there, if it is European.  With the proof marks you can at least tell the country of origin.  If there are no proof marks it is most likely American made.

You might want to take the pics and questions to the Shotgun World or Double Gun Shop sites with your questions.  I would not sell it until you know exactly what it is.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.
