Great rack from the past...restoration question
« on: September 20, 2013, 04:43:19 PM »
My wife was given this rack by some guy who was cleaning up an old house. She brought home and I put up on shed. Been looking at it a lot over last couple weeks and thinking I would like to do something with it. it is approximately 27 in wide and 19 in tall. Has a spot where someone cut most of way through with hack saw and a couple broken tips. Hoping to find someplace that it would not be too awfully expensive to have restored. Want some suggestions and or opion on weather would be worth it...Thanks

P.S.
I think these crab claws are cool and that's what got me thinking about restoring
Now therefore, please take your weapons, your quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me

Charlie (bucklucky) does some fantastic restoration work, you should contact him. :twocents:

Your probably looking at around $200 plus to restore the rack.  It looks like it is pretty weathered and has a lot of cracking.

Looks very porous. I wouldn't mess with it for $200. Take it to Michelle :chuckle:
