This is an excellent opportunity to ask Secretary Sally Jewell questions about the Department of Interior.
For example you might ask about the closure and decommissioning of roads that access national and state public lands. The closures and decommissioning of these roads prevents all people, including the young, elderly, and disabled from accessing the public lands where the roads have been closed or destroyed. There are viable alternatives such as the roads to trails concept.
Public access to public lands should be maintained for all outdoor recreation, forest management, and public safety purposes including
hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, horseback riding, mountain biking, rescues, firefighting, and emergency evacuation to name a few
Take advantage of the opportunity.
Thank you.
