Bethel bulls..... rigged for silent running
« on: September 21, 2013, 10:03:33 PM »
the bulls have clammed up.

I found elk this morning and this evening.   but I bugled into probably 30 draws and got one week response today.

Here's hoping they kick into high gear Oct. 1.

Eastern Washington Bethel.
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

Majority of cows are in peak estrus right now and bulls are um......well.......you know.  Anyways, most cows will be bred this week and by the first those bulls will be cruising the ridges and basins looking for unbred cows.  Don't sweat it, just a phase of the cycle.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

Those Bethel bulls must have gotten a different memo, we didn't hear a single bugle all morning or day. Put on about 4 miles of hiking into our spot, plenty of sign of them being in there just no bugles   :dunno:
