ARs on sell
« on: September 23, 2013, 07:14:36 AM »
Cabelas has Windham Weaponry ARs on sale starting at $699.99 and they have plenty of them.  It wasn’t too long ago that these were selling for over $1K and you were lucky to find one at that price.  Looks like the panic is officially over.

Yea, I saw that but I am not sure of the quality of that brand.  Otherwise, I would have picked up one.

I think Windham was started by the guy that formed one of the big AR companies, DPMS I think.  He went out on his own after he was bought out.  Don't worry--be happy!  Prices will go down until our first black president's term is up, and our first Lesbian President is elected.  (Hillary)

You won't find a better AR on the market....

Windham use to be Bushmaster.  They sold to Remington Corp. (I believe) and shot down operations.  When the recession hit they reopened under Windham Weaponry to bring jobs back to their community.  So essentially you are buying an original bushmaster.

Not entirely true--Bushmasters are still being made under the Bushmaster logo.  It was acquired by Cerberus when they bought up a bunch of gun companies after Obama took Chrysler away from them and gave it to Fiat.  Windham is an entirely separate company, and not a part of the Cerberus Holdings conglomerate.  :sry: The castings for AR uppers and lowers are only made by a couple of places and sold to all the AR makers.  The difference is in the final machining and finish of the parts.  Windham seems to do a good job on their guns.

Pretty much entirely true.the founder of Bushmaster reopened as stated with the majority of builders, office staff, qc,and designers of bushmaster. It basically is a bushmaster AR.they are awsome built rifles just like the Bushmaster.  :twocents:
