Too late for tree stand ?

So I have been scouting a particular area and I have pics to show that the game trail I have established my bait site at is being used by some nice bucks. I was thinking at first of creating a ground blind from branches and brush that's in the area. I do have a two person tree stand that would be better though. This area is not as heavily treed so I know it's a good spot for one. I plan on establishing a new feed pile nearby to draw bucks over. My question is will adding a tree stand spook the deer away from this  area ? I'm leaning more towards a ground / natural blind at this point. Muzzleloader starts this weekend so of have to set up by tomorrow at the latest. What's everyone's thoughts ? I have read different reviews on this is why I ask.

Not too late.  Minimoze your disturbance, but in reality if you have ever watched an active logging site, the deer come in even after all the activity.

Or like my hunting buddy did up by .....  oops, almost gave up the hunting spot. Anyway, as he waited for the loggers to clear out of an area so he could get around them, he watched as a 3 x 3 mulie came trotting down to where they were logging. Just jumped out of his truck, snuck up behind some equipment, and arrowed it at 50 yards. You put a tree stand up. the animals probibly won't know it.

Never too late. One year in kapowsin I spent at least an hour limbing up a tree with a ton of limbs, I used a hand saw and wasn't very quiet. Twenty minutes later a 3x3 blacktail came out of the reprod 30 yards from me, I was shocked.

he probobaly thought you were doing some logging........i've heard of them coming out to eat freshly downed tops...never seen it myself but hey it must be true if someone knew a guy that had a cousin see it.

Just what I wanted to hear ill go set mine up this week and throw some new feed and sit on it Saturday, and see what I get.

If there is moisture they eat the lichens.  Its like crack for them.  They come in and gleen the logs that have been freshly fallen.  After a fresh wet snow drops some branches or trees, analyze the tracks.

Ya there is some moisture in the area I know they have been getting to my bait area early in the morning so if I can catch them along the way that would be abetter strategy. I was thinking about getting some fresh brushing tree limbs to try and camo my stand better.
