Enumscratch gossip has it as Bruce put two 22 caps into the back of its head and it came unbuttoned and ran off. Others saw some more bone in his truck latter. Not sure if it was the same bull. Could not of been to hurt if it took two to the head and headed out!

It was on our facebook when I got home this afternoon that's how I knew about Bruce Richards letting a guy tag the one he had to shoot, and take the meat.  There are some nice bulls in that herd that runs around the fairgrounds, and golfcourse.  I deliver propane to some of the farms in that general area they are out there all the time.

Didn't early elk archery end the 15th  :dunno:.  I moved to enumclaw in June from North Bend and didn't know there was elk that ran around in Enumclaw.  The big one is a bruiser.  It is strange that the hunter didn't get the horns after tagging it.

Yes Russ, I was talking about when I hunted during the season, if thats what you are questioning. Otherwise the reason why I was upset my mom didnt call me asap cause  I would have been on the horn calling in a poach in progress... well I would have felt dumb if I did call Bruce but still. And why does someone get to tag an animal out of season???

No worries and that was my question too unless he was a master hunter?  :dunno:

I have had wardens let people tag does that were poached, but were not legal to have during season so that the meat didn't go to waste.  I hope that the story was true, and that was the case if so great job on the part of the warden making the best out of a really bad situation.
