In deer camp
« on: September 27, 2013, 10:20:21 PM »
Rolled into camp about 12:30 lastnight. Woke up at 6:30 this morning started seeing deer just 100 yards from camp.

Holy smokes there were a ton of people hunting up by your camp this morning. Daughter and i went on past and over the hill but there had to be 10 rigs up there. We didnt see squat. Nice job. We didnt expect that many people up there. No where that many last year

Last year not nearly as many people or deer but id seen this buck friday morning and evening then seen him Saturday morning after i woke up late i actually left camp at 7 and was able to work the wind and close the distants.   Reminded me of my caribo hunts with my grandpa in alaska.  Just awesome to be able to prepare all year and make it happen.   :IBCOOL:

Maybe the part about remembering the past times out in the woods with Grandpa??  Memories, even good ones can be bittersweet at times.

Great buck, I am sure Grandpa approves!
