Hello. I had an Infinite Edge for 3 weeks. I returned it to Cabelas because  I had to have the string replaced after 1 week, due to them nicking the string while serving the peep sight. Then I went to a local pro shop and shot a few more bows and ended up buying a Bowtech Assassin. The Edge shot very nice, I ended up liking the Assassin better. It's awesome that you want to make is a surprise gift, I would recommend taking him out to shoot them first or getting him a gift card or cash, because 1 of the bows may feel better or shoot better for him.
