Looks like you have backstraps along with horns, good job. A better job would have been if you lassoed him first before you shot, a skill I thought everybody had west of the Mississippi.  :hello:  :dunno:  :chuckle:

Actually the shot went in where you see and traveled lengthwise of the neck and ended up between and behind the shoulder blades along the spine.  for a muzzle loader that is pretty far for a bullet to travel.  did not tear up any meat, but the fall did.  Once I got to cutting and wrapping there was some meat that was just not salvageable.  I trimmed all of the blood out that I could for burger meat and made steaks out of the undamaged cuts.  The front quarters and back straps were fine, but the hind quarters were pretty beat up.  Never had that happen before...
