It is in the walk threads but hey he posted a picture of a buck why not congratulate him and talk about deer also?  :) and hurricane that's an awesome looking buck! And a nice bull as well for Packwood  :IBCOOL:

Packwood can be great for elk but you need early snow and lots of it if you hope to see more than the local elk.  Also where I used to hunt was National Forrest and hasn't been logged in years so now it is all dog hair or old growth.

There are some nice animals in the packwood unit. Have been lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right spot. Snow is a plus used it a couple times to my advantage. Even with the pressure it gets. During elk season i think more head to the river valley
