Got THE "Dominant blacktail" 2x3 on game cam.
« on: October 06, 2013, 03:00:00 PM »
Remember my question about dominant bucks a month or so back where I mentioned a big bodied, mediocre horned buck? well here he is! I'll dump him if I can find him to get these genes out of my area.

ive never hunted blacktail before but that looks like a dandy blacktail buck to me. just curious as tgo why youd want those genes out of youre area?

It's a solid blacktail, but this picture is VERY flattering. Also, he hasn't grown at all in the last 3 years, he has to be pushing 6 years old and he's still very wispy in regards to his antlers.

He's a shooter in my Blacktail Book.  Of course that's a small book   :chuckle:

A lot of areas have bucks that don't do much more than a solid fork.  Of course, if he is that old then his mass is pathetic.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
