I lightly charred my tag, after butterflying it it.

Sauted it in some nicely spiced garlic butter and ate the whole tag for dinner tonight.

Maybe next time.....

We had set our sights reasonably high, and let a few small bulls walk.

we just couldn't ever seal the deal on a keeper.   I guess those bulls just weren't smart enough to come up the draw I'd pick each morning.....

You can tell some elk stories to the guys Saturday night during dinner.  Hope we will have a few deer to drag out earlier In the day though. See you Friday evening or Saturday morning.

Season is over for me....    Only took one week off for this hunt because I've got a week in November planned in Montana.

Yes, I went where you told me.   Nice place.   Bulls were vocal at times, but they wouldn't cooperate.    I think some of them had bad attitudes kind of like they didn't think elk hunting was a good thing.....
