I don't have a website.  All for fun.   I occasionally sell a photo which helps in paying for gas so I can get some more and share them.   If anyone sees something they like ever on here, all they have to do is inquire and I can see what I can provide depending on the quality of the pic.

These are photos that I have taken through the years and have all been shared on here somewhere.  I am just going through them and posting them to the folks that might have missed them in the past.  I think these are mostly from year before last.   I take thousands of photos that never get put on here.  Hell, I take thousands I never ever scrutinize.  I am that unorganized.   Sometimes it gets boring at work and I look at some and then upload them and get them posted.  My Fall goal every year is about 500 bucks on film.   Sometimes its easier than others to reach that goal.

Bone, if you had to guess, what percentage of these pictures were taken in October?

The majority of my deer photos come during the last week in October and the first two weeks of November.   It costs time and money to be out, so I try to make the best use of my time.  I usually tag out in September so immediately pick up the camera.  Camera is usually put away at Thanksgiving because my wife has usually had enough of me trying to get out of kid duties.  Each year, eventhough I have the time off, I find myself at home more and more.   I drive a lot within the state.  I have dreams of doing some out of state stuff but hasn't happened yet.   This year was going to be the year..... :chuckle:   yeah, we will see.

That's impressive.  I was going to guess that even those bucks with slender necks were still in the first few days of November.

Is your photography approach generally spot and stalk during October?

You must be one sneaky SOB.  I can sneak quietly but when I start getting within 100 yards of a decent buck, I get too excited and usually blow it.

Maybe I should pick up photography to get that out of my system  :chuckle:

One of the reasons I enjoy photography was the challenge.  Its a lot harder to get a good photo of a deer (or anything) than it is to kill it.   From brush, to lighting, time of day, weather, closeness, etc.

One of the reasons I took up photography was I would tell people what I saw for the day, but no one believed me.  Too many liars out there I guess, so I started documenting as much as I could.  I still see a lot of things that I don't get to photograph and share because of an asundry of different reasons.

Hunting with a longbow, I have to close the distance about the same as I do with my camera....

TAGS:   Once I pull the trigger, I can move on to the next one, and I don't have to draw once every 25 years.   That's what some of my fall agenda in my dreams so far,  has to offer me.  I want to go photograph 45 in Idaho, or the Pauns or the North rim or even the Malheur.  I always end up staying close to home though.   I do have a family and I do have a budget for time as well.
