its going to be a sleepless night
« on: October 11, 2013, 07:31:07 AM »
Why is it I have a hard time sleeping night before any opener :dunno:.  Still not 100% sure where I'm hunting yet but I'll be out there somewhere.  Maybe I should just plan on sleeping in the blind tonight (done it before) I was young and dumb then now I'm just dumb I guess.  Good luck tomorrow everyone.

I am lucky I have never had the problem of not sleeping the night before.  Maybe its all the fresh air that puts me sound asleep.
It is what you meant it to be...

You need to see some of the blinds down in the Southeast USA.  They have everything but a recliner and sat tv to watch the Saints play.  Maybe some do.
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

We have slept out at different spots on more then a few occasions. I usually can get at least a few hours sleep on the ground but when that dew hits about 3 am it gets cold.

I spent the night in the woods last MZ elk season.  I had a warm coat and bibs in my pack but I still froze...literally.  I had frost on my boots when I got up.  Never again.  You guys are above my league.

I have slept in the boat, the blind, in a layout, in the truck in line. You name it I will sleep there for a good hunt.
