WDFW Trapping Wolves?????
« on: October 11, 2013, 06:59:55 AM »
I guy told me he has a friend who was up on Calispell Peak in Stevens County and said that there were signs warning about wolf traps in the area. He said they were using leg traps w/rubber jaws. :dunno: Anybody hear of this?

Seems like I remember the WDFW  was looking to hire some wolf trappers a while back. There was some discussion about it on here.

How else would the WDFW put those collars that "don't work" on the wolves?  :tung:

Yeah they did the same thing on our rez with the same warning signs and used the same traps. I want to say the trappers name was george but dont quote me on that. From what i was told he is a really good guy. He knows his stuff and it sounds like WDFW is trying to collar some wolves in that area. I know when he did the demonstration on those traps he showed how they didnt hurt the wolves by shutting one on his hand

was it the same guy that was in Komo news a few months ago.  If so he sure did know his stuff and how to howl at them to give away there locations.

Ironic the WDFW gets to use those traps but we are not allowed to!  :bash:
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
