Westside Muzzzleloader Bull

Well on the way home from last years archery elk hunt, in the 90 degree weather, I decided right then and there that I was going to dust off the muzzleloader after 9 years.
I went to my usual archery spot on the fri before the muzzy opener. There had been quite a bit of snow the week before so I was concerned about the elk moving down.
I heard a weak bugle on sat morning and dismissed it as another hunter but when I got up there all I found was elk tracks. Later that evening I got into a small herd with only a spike bull at 30 yards.
The next morning I did the same thing but was less patient and headed up the hill after setting and listening till about 7 am. I cow called periodically for the next half hour and saw a bull coming in with his ears forward and looking intently for the cow that was calling to him.
At 20 yrds I figured he was close enough and squeezed the trigger. He went 35 yrds after the shot.
This is my 3rd bull in Wa in the last 4 years with 1 ea taken with archery, rifle and now the muzzleloader.
