Walleye fishing tuff stuff
« on: October 16, 2013, 07:53:57 AM »
Fished Roosevelt on Sat, luanched out of Two Rivers fished most of my favorite spots all the way to Little Falls Dam.  First bite was at 11:30 and a trout.  Ended up with 25 walleyes but only one was above 12".  Fed a lot of night crawlers to the dinks.  Did get our first burbout of the year up river.
Jig fished all day, should have tried something different but tend to stick with what I have faith in.

Went to Rufus on Monday, hooked one walleye and lost it.  Did get 4 nice triploids for our trouble.

I like running worm harnesses nice n slow this time of year. I fish between 25-35 feet of water usually do fairly well. My grandpa got me into walleye fishing when I was a kid.

Mack's Double Whammy with a night crawler is deadly!  I caught this on Banks Lake in 1996 on that setup.  13lbs 9oz and 30" long. Haven't been walleye fishing in years though, work schedule doesn't allow me to get away during the summer when I like to go :-(
