I've seen one animal shot with the 275 gr maxi hunter. Broadside deer 60 yards and it hit a rib going in and deflected. Only getting one longe and going into guts. Seen two animals shot with 320 gr maxi balls and had mixed results. Deer broadside perfect pass through at about 50 yards broadside. An elk at about 75 yards hit rib and deflected pretty bad forward on the body. So my experience seems to show go heavier for elk than we tested and 320 min on deer to not get deflections on these bullets.
