New Boat
« on: October 23, 2013, 05:00:58 PM »
Picked up a new Hewescraft last weekend.  Now to get it outfitted.  It's a 16 ft.  70hp and an 8hp.  Both motors are 4 strokes.

No problem.  Been looking for a used one for a while and found this new 2012 and got a good price.  + Yamaha was offering a 6 year warranty instead of the usual 3 at no extra charge.  Now for the downrigger, fish finder etc.

No wife on my end.  The only one I needed to talk into buying it was myself.  That turned out to be easier than I thought.

Nice boat. My buddy is the shipping boss at Hewescraft. He says those boats are the best on the market with the best warranty out there.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

My buddy over there had one of their lead welders fab an offshore bracket and a bow picker guide for his commercial boat.  It was some of the prettiest welds I have ever seen.  Those guys do awesome metal work and welding!

You know what PolarBear, they make 100 + - boats a month there, during the high season. I couldn't believe it when my buddy told me. You've most likely seen the plant and how small it looks.

I haven't been to the plant but my buddy wants to take me though it.  I helped him build the rest of his boat.  Maybe if I get over there for late archery this year or for shed hunting in February.
