Looks like you scored in a great location.  Now I know how all these guys are loading elk whole in their trucks.  I've never been so fortunate.

Nice work on filling the freezer! Those younger bulls sure do eat good.
I shot my first bull just up the road from your house I think.  :IBCOOL: This was my first year elk hunting and I got a nice little three point.
I think I'll have to post the story and a couple pics. Congrats!

Nice Elk as any are...I'll be the jerk.  Dude you are shooting a cow.  Have a bud who shot a 389 high fence, and he gets less praise then then the guy shooting a spike on public land.  Good on ya, but it is what is is.  The guys who are mentioning all " quality meat" really wanted to say what I just said.  Nothing against your elk as any bull is good bull.

That's the most stupid thing I have ever heard :'( I been hunting elk for more years then you've been alive. And I'm very proud of my spike I killed and the cows and calf's I've killed with my bow. All were trophy's to me. Sound like you'er just jealous :chuckle: :'(

I'm with PA BEN. You aren't making sense to me.... it is not clear to me what you're point is at all. Maybe it is a jealous rant.

That's why. A 389 high fence is not hunting. That is growing a crop, nurturing a crop and harvesting a crop. Not hard to do, you just need to have money.

What?  That was a WILD bull killed in a feeding area. Only an anti would have anything bad to say about that, or as others have said, a jealous hunter. I see nothing wrong with an "easy" elk.

I bet you think the guy that shoots a bull driving down the logging road is a better hunter than I am. Well I did push the easy button this year, but this herd has not been in these fields much at all this year. I dont see any difference than spotting elk in a clearcut and going back openig day. I am only wasting my time responding to your assinine comments because I was anxious to get home after work and see what the nice guys on this site had to say and then I read your jacka$$ response. I had never seen these elk in my life, and I made the three hundred plus yard shot and am damn proud of it. In fact heres another picture of my cow >:(
