What to do
« on: October 10, 2013, 05:00:00 PM »
Here is the problem, I got a 1997 s10 blazer that has a 2 inch body lift. I have tightened the torsion bars in the front and have air shocks in the rear. It rides like crap because I have the torsion bars are up to tight. I run 31s. If I lower the torsion bars my tires will rub. I need to buy 2 new 31"s tires or 4 new 30"s. I like how it looks now but, it rides like I welded the shocks in place :yike:. I can buy  4 new 30"s or buy 2 new 31"s and a 2.5 inch suspension lift kit from rough country and the cost would be similar. What would you guys do, im stuck

Here is another question, If I were to order the kit should I order the steering stabilizer as well or not.

I would definatley  order a lift.  Youa re putting a lot of stress on your torsion bars by spinning them up so much.  It can cause camber issues that will eat bearings.  A new steering stabilizer isn't always necessary, unless your getting a lot of bump steer or wandering, it may help help solve that
