By the way, I like the Mathews draw. But the grip they have was designed for Paul Bunyan, and they don't seem balanced.

I agree 100% with that!  I think the smoothness combined with the hype snags a lot of money from guys wallets each year.  I have a number of friends that fall for it each year.  Most are shooting a different bow within six months afterwards.  It does mean that there are a lot of good used Mathews out there for sale each year ;)

You're right. I see a lot of Mathews bows out there at Craigslist and such. To be honest, my bow was built before PSE started with their slim grips. So I just pulled the screws and removed the grip. Now the grip is composed of black electrical tape. Very snazzy and stylish!  :IBCOOL: :chuckle:

I've shot a lot of bows with just rod wrap on them.  Although I did like the 2x4 grip on the old PSE Jet-Flite and Lazer-Flite.  Whackmaster and I killed a lot of critters with those bows back in the late 80's early 90's before I went off to shoot for Hoyt.

I have been making my own grips with rod wrap for years. It's a must do for me to get a perfect fit and feel.

Yeah. Mine is a 2007 bow. I can't seem to part with it, though. It shoots straight, is deadly silent, no hand shock, although it isn't fast. The PSE Rogue. I love it. PSE service is awesome, too. Even though I was the second owner and it was 5 years old, they still fixed it for me when the limb bolts stripped out.
I like thin grips, so after a year of shooting it with the big grip, I threw it in a bag and grabbed the tape.  :IBCOOL: :chuckle: :chuckle:
