banner opener!!
«

Our group took two bulls yesterday, my brothers about twenty minutes into the day, completley changing my and my dads morning hunt, but well worth it! I got mine at 6:04pm, the heard had a big guy, I thought my buddy was gonna shoot it so I smacked mine and my buddy never got a shot on the big one, I made a perfect lung shot, elk are beasts and it started moving, im a firm believer in shoot till it falls, four later and two of those jellied the heart it was time to work, best of all my brother and dad got to watch from a ridge!!! Ill take a rag horn over tag soup any day!!!

An elk is a trophy in and of itself, no matter the antler size! Great job! That will be some good eats for sure!!

congrats, yeah elk are tough my dad had a muzzy cow tag this year and shot his one through the liver and one in the head and it was still trying to kick us when we walked up, then when we butchered it, it had a broken leg and we found a muzzy bullet from the year before lodged in it hip area, all healed over, but she was still running with the herd when we got her.
